The West Delaware Hawks (Manchester, IA) baseball got by the host Maquoketa Cardinals (Maquoketa, IA), 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 14-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Vernon for a WaMaC-East challenge on Thursday, July 3. West Delaware will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-12.

With the defeat, Maquoketa drops to 6-25 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA) to clash with the Stormin' Pointers in a non-league challenge on Monday, July 7. The Stormin' Pointers go into the challenge with a record of 8-18. Center Point-Urbana lost 8-0 in their recent league challenge against Benton (Van Horne, IA)
