The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Itasca (Itasca, TX). The Wampus Cats come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Itasca defeated Iredell (Iredell, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Owls encounter the Milford Bulldogs (Milford, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 15. Covington will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Arp (Arp, TX).
