The Starkville Yellowjackets volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots to 0 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Hope for a non-league game on Saturday, August 13. Starkville will meet a Trojans team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Caledonia (Caledonia, MS). The Trojans record now stands at 2-0.
