Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bainbridge Bearcats (Bainbridge, GA), 13-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellow Jackets now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Laurens for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 20. Wayne County will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 12-6 league win over Jefferson County (Louisville, GA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Bainbridge falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Lanier County (Lakeland, GA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 20. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 6-0. Lanier County won 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Tiftarea Academy (Chula, GA)
