Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Pulaski County Maroons (Somerset, KY) and the visiting Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY), saw Pulaski County's soccer squad triumph over Whitley County by a count of 7-0.

The Maroons (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Somerset (Somerset, KY). The Briar Jumpers enter the District 47 battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Somerset tipped Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY), 8-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Colonels battle the Corbin Redhounds (Corbin, KY) in a District 49 battle, on Monday, August 26. Whitley County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Redhounds enter the battle with a 1-4 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Perry County Central (Hazard, KY).
