In Friday's non-league game, the Eunice Cardinals (Eunice, NM) football team overcame the host Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM), by a tally of 60-39.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Estancia Bears (Estancia, NM) in a non-league outing, on Friday, August 29. Eunice will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Bears come into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 42-0 non-league loss to Loving (Loving, NM).

With the defeat, Ruidoso drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Tularosa (Tularosa, NM) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Friday, August 29. The Wildcats enter the contest with a record of 0-1. Tularosa lost 26-6 in their recent non-league contest against Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM)
