Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC), 42-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Union Pines improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Vikings host Northwood (Pittsboro, NC) to play the Chargers in a non-league battle on Friday, August 30. The Chargers go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Northwood lost 52-33 in their recent non-league battle against Riverside-Durham (Durham, NC)

The Hawks now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to South Johnston for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 29. Triton will play a Trojans team coming off a 21-20 non-league win over Princeton (Princeton, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 1-0.
