The Pender Patriots soccer team scored 6 points and limited the host North Duplin Rebels to 2 in the Patriots non-league victory on Wednesday.

Next, the Patriots face the Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 29. Pender will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Leopards enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Midway (Dunn, NC).

The Rebels now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richlands for a non-league contest on Monday, August 29. North Duplin will face a Wildcats team coming off a 3-3 non-league Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-2.
