The Menominee Maroons volleyball squad (Menominee, MI), was defeated 3-1 in Thursday's league battle with the host Gladstone Braves (Gladstone, MI)

The Braves (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Manistique (Manistique, MI). The Emeralds enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Manistique beat Munising (Munising, MI), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Maroons meet the Marquette Sentinels (Marquette, MI) in a Big North challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Menominee will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Sentinels come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Sault Area (Sault St. Marie, MI).
