Perrin-Whitt Pirates (Perrin, TX) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Gold-Burg Bears (Bowie, TX), 46-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Perrin-Whitt advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pirates travel to Weatherford Christian (Weatherford, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Weatherford Christian lost 30-24 in their recent non-league battle against Logos Prep Academy (Sugar Land, TX)

The Bears now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Saint Jo for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Gold-Burg will play a Panthers team coming off a 68-44 non-league win over Fort Worth THESA (Fort Worth, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.
