The Speedway Sparkplugs soccer team scored 9 points and limited the visiting Western Boone Stars to 0 in the Sparkplugs league victory on Tuesday.
Next, the Sparkplugs face the Cascade Cadets (Clayton, IN) in a Indiana Crossroads contest, on Thursday, September 1. Speedway will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Cadets enter the contest with a 6-0 record after their 2-1 league win over Monrovia (Monrovia, IN).
The Stars now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sheridan for a non-league contest on Thursday, September 1. Western Boone will face a Blackhawks team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Mississinewa (Gas City, IN). The Blackhawks record now stands at 2-2.
