The Lakota West Firebirds football team scored 27 points and held the visiting Fairfield Indians to 12 in the Firebirds non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Firebirds (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Middletown (Middletown, OH). The Middies come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

The Indians now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Lakota East for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 6. Fairfield will meet a Thunderhawks team coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Princeton (Cincinnati, OH). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 2-0.
