Georgia High School Softball - Pike County bounces Starr's Mill

The Pike County Pirates routed the visiting Starr's Mill Panthers softball squad by a count of 17-0 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Pirates (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Jackson (Jackson, GA). The Red Devils go into the 3A Region 2 battle with a 8-1 record. In their last battle, Jackson topped Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA), 13-2, in a league battle.

The Panthers now sport a 1-7 record. They play next when they host LaGrange for a 4A Region 4 battle on Thursday, September 1. Starr's Mill will meet a Grangers squad coming off a 12-11 non-league win over Northside (Columbus, GA). The Grangers record now stands at 7-4.
