In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Powhatan Indians volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Charlottesville Black Knights.
The Indians (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Turner Ashby got by Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Black Knights meet the Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 31. Charlottesville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA).
