The Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) football edged the visiting Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC), 12-8 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Spartans face the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 8. Sun Valley will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record.
The Chargers (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Huskies enter the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Hough nudged Independence (Charlotte, NC), 48-8, in a non-league bout.
