With the triumph, Westover improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC) to battle the Trojans in a 3A/4A All-American test on Friday, September 15. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 0-3. Pine Forest lost 56-35 in their recent non-league test against Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC)

With the loss, Fairmont drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Golden tornadoes travel to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC) to battle the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Friday, September 8. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 2-1. Southern Lee lost 36-15 in their recent non-league test against Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC)
