In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Eastwood Troopers football squad scored a close 28-21 triumph over the Parkland Matadors.
The Troopers (3-0) will now prepare for their match against El Dorado (El Paso, TX). The Aztecs go into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, El Dorado nipped Montwood (El Paso, TX), 30-22, in a non-league battle.
The Matadors now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Coronado for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 18. Parkland will meet a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 26-6 non-league win over Franklin (El Paso, TX). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 2-2.
