The Grants Pirates soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Shiprock Chieftains to 0 in the Pirates non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Pirates now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Kirtland Central for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 17. Grants will play a Broncos squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Bosque (Albuquerque, NM). The Broncos record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, Shiprock moves to 0-1 on the year. The Chieftains travel to Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, September 13. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-8. Navajo Prep lost 9-0 in their recent non-league bout against Capital (Santa Fe, NM)
