The Catholic Crusaders soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Manteo Redskins to 1 in the Crusaders non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Crusaders now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Steward for a TCIS bout on Thursday, September 12. Catholic will play a Spartans squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Hampton Roads Academy (Newport News, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Manteo moves to 4-5 on the year. The Redskins host Holmes (Edenton, NC) to play the Aces in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A bout on Monday, September 16. The Aces go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Holmes won 10-1 in their recent league bout against Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC)
