Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Freeman Scotties (Rockford, WA) and the host Newport Grizzlies (Newport, WA), saw Freeman's soccer squad triumph over Newport by a score of 11-0.

The Scotties (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Reardan (Reardan, WA). The Screaming Eagles enter the 2B Bi-County battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Reardan was overwhelmed by Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame (Spokane, WA), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Grizzlies confront the Priest River Spartans (Priest River, ID) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 16. Newport will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
