In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host South Tama County Trojans volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Hoover Huskies.

The Trojans (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Montezuma (Montezuma, IA). The Braves come into the non-league challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, Montezuma lost by Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Huskies play the Des Moines East Scarlets (Des Moines, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 17. Hoover will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Scarlets come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Perry (Perry, IA).
