Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA) and the visiting Lakeview Academy Lions (Gainesville, GA), observed Stephens County's volleyball team top Lakeview Academy by a count of 2-0.

The Indians (3-17) will now prepare for their contest against Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA). The Lions enter the 2A Area 8 contest with a 18-5 record. In their last contest, Hebron Christian was knocked off by North Myrtle Beach (Little River, SC), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Lions battle the Chestatee War Eagles (Gainesville, GA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 14. Lakeview Academy will attempt to move on its 9-9 season record. The War Eagles enter the contest with a 20-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Clarke Central (Athens, GA).
