North Carolina High School Football - Monroe defeats Porter Ridge

September 15, 2023: Monroe, NC 28112

In Friday's non-league match, the host Monroe Redhawks football squad scored a good 28-20 victory over the Porter Ridge Pirates.

In their next game, the Redhawks confront the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) in a 2A/3A Rocky River test, on Friday, September 29. Monroe will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record.

With the loss, Porter Ridge moves to 4-1 on the season. The Pirates travel to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to confront the Mavericks in a 4A Southern Carolina test on Friday, September 29. The Mavericks go into the test with a record of 3-2. Marvin Ridge lost 24-7 in their recent non-league test against Myers Park (Charlotte, NC)
