The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) and the visiting Holy Family Irish (Ashland, KY), saw Boyd County's volleyball squad beat Holy Family by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Boyd County upgrades its record to 22-3 on the year. The Lions host Rose Hill Christian (Ashland, KY) to play the Royals in a District 64 bout on Saturday, September 17. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 4-4.

The Irish now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Blazer for a District 64 bout on Tuesday, September 20. Holy Family will play a Tomcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over West Carter (Olive Hill, KY). The Tomcats record now stands at 13-4.
