The Cherry Creek Bruins flag football squad scored 38 points and limited the host Smoky Hill Buffaloes to 0 in the Bruins league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bruins now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Overland for a 5A/4A Centennial test on Saturday, September 20. Cherry Creek will meet a Trailblazers squad coming off a 40-18 league loss to Mullen (Denver, CO). The Trailblazers record now stands at 5-3.

With the defeat, Smoky Hill drops to 1-9 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Cherokee Trail (Aurora, CO) to face the Cougars in a 5A/4A Centennial challenge on Thursday, September 25. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 2-6.
