The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA) and the visiting Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA), observed Eastside's softball team notch a victory over Flowery Branch by a final score of 18-0.

The Eagles (17-0) will now prepare for their match against Madison County (Danielsville, GA). The Red Raiders go into the 4A Region 8 match with a 9-11 record. In their last match, Madison County gained a win over Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA), 19-0, in a league game.

The Falcons now hold a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Dawson County for a non-league game on Monday, September 22. Flowery Branch will play a Tigers squad coming off a 16-4 league loss to North Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 15-6.
