The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Guthrie Bluejays (Guthrie, OK) and the visiting Blanchard Lions (Blanchard, OK), witnessed Guthrie's football squad wallop Blanchard by a tally of 48-7.

The Bluejays (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Marshall (Oklahoma City, OK). The Bears enter the 5A District 2 contest with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Marshall was crushed by Elk City (Elk City, OK), 42-20, in a non-league bout.

The Lions now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Harrah for a 4A District 2 bout on Friday, September 26. Blanchard will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 46-34 non-league loss to Seminole (Seminole, OK). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.
