Tennessee High School Football - McMinn County trounces Soddy Daisy

September 19, 2025: Athens, TN 37303

In Friday's league match, the host McMinn County Cherokees football squad scored a decisive 48-7 triumph over the Soddy Daisy Trojans.

The Cherokees (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN). The Owls come into the 5A Region 3 match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Ooltewah was routed by Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN), 41-6, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Trojans confront the Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN) in a 5A Region 3 match, on Friday, September 26. Soddy Daisy will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Mustangs go into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 41-6 league win over Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN).
