In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Kennedy Cougars volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the West Liberty Comets.

The Cougars (11-8) will now prepare for their test against Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Saints go into the Mississippi Valley-Valley test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Xavier went down by Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA), 2-1, in a non-league test.

The Comets now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Branch for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23. West Liberty will face a Bears squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA). The Bears record now stands at 6-8.
