St. Andrew's Cardinals (Middletown, DE) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Sanford Warriors (Hockessin, DE), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Cardinals confront the Caesar Rodney Riders (Camden, DE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 23. St. Andrew's will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Riders enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Delaware Military Academy (Wilmington, DE).
The Warriors now possess a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilmington Christian for a Independent Schools challenge on Thursday, September 28.
