Mississippi High School Football - Simmons smashes Coahoma County

September 22, 2023: Hollandale, MS 38748

The Simmons Blue Devils (Hollandale, MS) football routed the visiting Coahoma County Red Panthers (Clarksdale, MS), 56-12 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Blue Devils clash with the South Delta Bulldogs (Rolling Fork, MS) in a 1A Region 5 bout, on Friday, September 29. Simmons will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 2-3 record after their 34-0 non-league loss to Amanda Elzy (Greenwood, MS).

The Red Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against Rosa Fort (Tunica, MS). The Lions enter the 3A Region 2 bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Rosa Fort was crushed by North Side (Shelby, MS), 26-18, in a non-league bout.
