The Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY) football defeated the host Floyd Central Jaguars (Eastern, KY), 28-18 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hawks face the Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY) in a 2A District 8 bout, on Thursday, October 5. Pike County Central will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 3-3 record after their 62-27 non-league loss to Elizabethtown (Elizabethtown, KY).
