The Fleming County Panthers held off the visiting Powell County Pirates volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Panthers now have a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harrison County for a non-league test on Saturday, September 23. Fleming County will confront a Thorobreds team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Bracken County (Brooksville, KY). The Thorobreds record now stands at 12-6.
The Pirates (6-16) will now prepare for their test against Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league test with a 3-10 record. In their last test, Lee County was nudged by Union Pines (Cameron, NC), 3-0, in a league test.
