The Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Rocky Bayou Christian Knights to 0 in the Phoenix non-league triumph on Monday.
The Phoenix now have a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Escambia Academy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 1. Pensacola Area Homeschool will play a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Pensacola Area Homeschool (Pensacola, FL). The Cougars record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Rocky Bayou Christian drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Destin (Destin, FL) to play the Sharks in a non-league outing on Thursday, September 26. The Sharks come into the outing with a record of 10-4. Destin won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Laurel Hill (Laurel Hill, FL)
Match Summary
In our team's first visit to Niceville, our JV girls were pumped up and ready to face off with the JV Lady Knights. It was a competitive match. But our team had the edge, powered by a solid serving attack, good defense and great play-making. Led by Ryleigh, Miley and Ashlyn, our hitters were on tonight, finishing our plays by putting down a combined 9 kills in the 2 set match! We came from behind near the end of the second set, with Allie putting in our longest serving run of the match - 5 straight, to put us up in the contest 24-22. And we never looked back, polishing off the Knights 26-24, to win in straight sets!
