California High School Flag Football - Cordova thwarted by McClatchy

McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA) boosters were content Tuesday as they observed their flag football squad thwart the visiting Cordova Lancers (Rancho Cordova, CA), 33-12 in a league match.

The Lions (12-1) will now prepare for their match against West Park (Roseville, CA). The Panthers come into the Metropolitan League match with a 9-1 record. In their last match, West Park defeated Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA), 24-12, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Lancers confront the Christian Brothers Falcons (Sacramento, CA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, September 24. Cordova will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Falcons come into the match with a 9-6 record after their 67-0 league win over Bella Vista (Fair Oaks, CA).
