California High School Flag Football - Rodriguez can't hold off Vanden

Vanden Vikings (Fairfield, CA) boosters left the game content Wednesday as they observed their flag football squad nudge the visiting Rodriguez Mustangs (Fairfield, CA), 12-6 in a league test.

The Vikings now hold a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sacramento for a Monticello Empire League challenge on Monday, September 29. Vanden will play a Dragons team coming off a 42-0 non-league loss to Franklin (Elk Grove, CA). The Dragons record now stands at 0-9.

The Mustangs (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Pioneer (Woodland, CA). The Patriots go into the Monticello Empire League challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Pioneer was edged by Wood (Vacaville, CA), 18-12, in a league test.
