Christopher Cougars (Gilroy, CA) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Overfelt Royals (San Jose, CA), 28-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Christopher upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Leigh (San Jose, CA) to confront the Longhorns in a Mount Hamilton match on Thursday, October 9. The Longhorns come into the match with a record of 4-1. Leigh won 35-14 in their recent non-league match against Silver Creek (San Jose, CA)

Coming up next, the Royals confront the Willow Glen Rams (San Jose, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 3. Overfelt will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Rams go into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 21-20 non-league win over Christopher (Gilroy, CA).
