The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) and the visiting Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC), witnessed Newton-Conover's football squad knock off Bandys by a tally of 36-16.

The Red Devils (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, North Lincoln was outscored by Hickory (Hickory, NC), 16-0, in a non-league contest.
