The Woodward Boomers (Woodward, OK) softball nipped the visiting Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish (Oklahoma City, OK), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.
Next, the Boomers meet the Guymon Tigers (Guymon, OK) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 30. Woodward will attempt to advance on its 10-4 season record.
The Fighting Irish (6-22) will now prepare for their test against Putnam City (Oklahoma City, OK). The Pirates come into the non-league outing with a 5-26 record. In their last outing, Putnam City was tipped by Piedmont (Piedmont, OK), 13-0, in a non-league outing.
