The Pine Island Panthers volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting St. Charles Fighting Saints to 0 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Panthers now have a 12-3 record. They play next when they host Byron for a Hiawatha Valley outing on Tuesday, October 1.

With the loss, St. Charles drops to 2-16 on the campaign. The Fighting saints host La Crescent (La Crescent, MN) to play the Lancers in a Three Rivers outing on Tuesday, October 1. The Lancers come into the outing with a record of 5-8. La Crescent lost 3-1 in their recent league outing against Rushford-Peterson (Rushford, MN)
