    In Friday's non-league game, the Speedway Sparkplugs (Speedway, IN) football team were victorious over the visiting Indianapolis Washington Continentals (Indianapolis, IN), by a score of 32-20.

    The Sparkplugs (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Cascade (Clayton, IN). The Cadets come into the Indiana Crossroads game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Cascade knocked off Owen Valley (Spencer, IN), 43-7, in a non-league game.

    The Continentals now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Purdue Poly for a Freelance game on Friday, October 4. Indianapolis Washington will meet a team coming off a 49-10 league loss to Tindley (Indianapolis, IN). The record now stands at 2-2.
