The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Scottsbluff Bearcats (Scottsbluff, NE) and the host Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, NE), witnessed Scottsbluff's football squad wallop Lexington by a tally of 56-7.

The Bearcats (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gering (Gering, NE). The Bulldogs enter the B District 5 contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Gering was trounced by McCook (McCook, NE), 24-23, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Minutemen battle the Alliance Bulldogs (Alliance, NE) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 4. Lexington will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 1-4 record after their 49-0 league loss to Chase County (Imperial, NE).
