The New Hampstead Phoenix softball team (Savannah, GA), was routed 17-3 in Wednesday's league test with the visiting Burke County Bears (Waynesboro, GA)

Coming up next, the Bears encounter the Southeast Bulloch Yellowjackets (Brooklet, GA) in a 4A Region 3 test, on Tuesday, October 4. Burke County will attempt to improve on its 12-11 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the test with a 12-7 record after their 8-3 league loss to Islands (Savannah, GA).

The Phoenix (3-12) will now prepare for their test against Claxton (Claxton, GA). The Tigers enter the non-league test with a 5-14 record. In their last test, Claxton prevailed over Metter (Metter, GA), 11-3, in a league test.
