Virginia High School Football - Matoaca overwhelms Meadowbrook

September 29, 2023: Chesterfield, VA 23838

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) and the visiting Meadowbrook Monarchs (Richmond, VA), observed Matoaca's football squad bounce Meadowbrook by a count of 49-6.

The Warriors now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Thomas Dale for a Central contest on Saturday, October 7. Matoaca will play a Knights squad coming off a 31-28 league win over Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA). The Knights record now stands at 5-0.

Coming up next, the Monarchs play the Prince George Royals (Prince George, VA) in a Central contest, on Friday, October 6. Meadowbrook will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Royals go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 7-0 league loss to Petersburg (Petersburg, VA).
