North Carolina High School Volleyball - Ashe County bounced by Watauga

September 29, 2025: Boone, NC 28607

Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) backers were pleased Monday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Pioneers (17-1) will now prepare for their challenge against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans go into the Northwestern 6A/7A test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, South Caldwell gained a win over McDowell (Marion, NC), 3-0, in a league test.

The Huskies now sport a 18-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilkes Central for a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A test on Tuesday, September 30. Ashe County will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 6-12.
