In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Rock Falls Rockets volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Bureau Valley Storm.
The Rockets (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Comets come into the non-league battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Newman Central Catholic achieved victory over Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Storm clash with the Riverdale Rams (Port Byron, IL) in a Three Rivers battle, on Saturday, September 3. Bureau Valley will attempt to advance on its 3-8 season record. The Rams come into the battle with a 5-4 record after their 2-1 league win over Morrison (Morrison, IL).
