Nyssa Bulldogs (Nyssa, OR) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs confront the Irrigon Knights (Irrigon, OR) in a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. Nyssa will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record.

The Pioneers now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Four Rivers for a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 challenge on Tuesday, October 3. McLoughlin will confront a Falcons team coming off a 8-0 league win over Grant Union (John Day, OR). The Falcons record now stands at 7-1.
