The West Mesa Mustangs held off the host Belen Eagles volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mustangs now have a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 3. West Mesa will confront a Hornets team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM). The Hornets record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Belen drops to 5-4 on the year. The Eagles host Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Ravens in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 5. The Ravens go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Rio Grande won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Menaul (Albuquerque, NM)
