Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the West St. John Rams (Edgard, LA) and the host Young Audiences Yacs (Gretna, LA), observed West St. John's volleyball team top Young Audiences by a count of 3-1.

The Rams (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Lutheran (Metairie, LA). The Gryphons enter the Division V District 8 contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Lutheran was knocked off by Louisiana School for the Deaf (Baton Rouge, LA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Yacs battle the De La Salle Cavalier (New Orleans, LA) in a Division III District 9 contest, on Tuesday, October 1. Young Audiences will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Cavalier enter the contest with a 1-8 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Newman (New Orleans, LA).
