The crowd at Tuesday's league contest between the Elk Grove Thundering Herd (Elk Grove, CA) and the host Franklin Wildcats (Elk Grove, CA), witnessed Elk Grove's flag football squad topple Franklin by a count of 18-8.

The Thundering Herd (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove, CA). The Eagles enter the Delta League contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Grove thwarted Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA), 45-6, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Wildcats confront the Sheldon Huskies (Sacramento, CA) in a Delta League battle, on Thursday, October 2. Franklin will attempt to advance on its 4-10 season record. The Huskies go into the battle with a 13-1 record after their 23-15 league win over Monterey Trail (Elk Grove, CA).
